Mill Design

As well as supplying equipment, we can supply a full engineering service to help you build a new mill. Whether your requirements are a large scale Pre-Press or Full-Press plant or a simple self contained Mini Mill then we have the experience to help you.

All oil mills will be designed to your particular requirements, the project can include equipment specification and sourcing, design and layout work and even a full turnkey project executed in conjunction with our sister companies in the Desmet Ballestra Group.

MILL DESIGN SERVICES

There are many press and solvent extraction plants throughout the world that have been designed and built with Rosedowns expertise. Although we do not manufacture everything ourselves we will source the best products from within the Desmet Ballestra group and third party companies to provide a complete mill.

All mill projects are designed and tailored to the individual client’s requirements. From process specifications, flow diagrams and mill layouts to turnkey design and build projects, Rosedowns can provide the help and expertise to ensure the smooth implementation of a mill project.

We can offer the services of our experienced erection and commissioning engineers to ensure the smooth startup of your new mill.

MINI MILLS

Designed around our Mini presses, we can supply a small Mini Mill able to take in raw seed and produce a crude filtered oil and press cake. Although small and simple these plants can produce residuals comparable with large conventional plants.

Typically a Mini Mill will include a feed bin, variable speed feeders, presses, an oil screening tank and a filter. Together with the required conveyors, pumps, fittings and instrumentation. 

These mills are designed to be flexible enough to handle a range of different seeds, can be operated by a single person and are the economic way to set up a small extraction facility.
