The Parts Service
The Rosedowns Parts Range
Producing cost effective wearing parts for presses of both our own and other companies manufacture is at the core of our business and we supply in excess of 150,000 parts a year. With our drawing records going back more than 70 years we not only support our current press range but also all of our older machines that are still in productive use today.
We manufacture parts in a range of materials to suit all applications. From our extremely hard wearing Goldstar material through conventional welded products to case hardened components. The correct choice of material will be dependant on both the material to be processed and the throughput of the plant.
 We are the only supplier of genuine quality Rosedowns parts.

Worm Assembly Design
Today much of our  work is in improving press performance and the life of wearing parts.
Our specialised computer programs, developed in-house, allow us to modify worm assembly profiles and extend the wear life of parts. This analytical design philosophy can be extended to both our own presses and those of other manufacture.
Our expertise in materials and design methods is complimented by research carried out in conjunction with academic institutions to maintain Rosedowns at the forefront of worm assembly and parts design.
Much work has been done to explore the relationship between part geometry and process material properties. The objective being to refine and develop computer models used to help assess worm assembly designs before we ever cut metal.
Materials  and Methods
In recent years a major part of our research effort has been devoted to the investigation of wear mechanisms on parts and the material properties that will best withstand the wear. One important factor to emerge from the work is the importance of tight control of the manufacturing process.
For example, variations in the welding conditions can dramatically effect the wear life of a particular hard facing material. Only by devoting time and effort into metallurgical studies can these factors be identified and controlled.

Significant investment has been made in our production facilities to enable us to keep up with the increasing demand for our parts service and to ensure that the parts supplied meet the quality standards demanded by our engineering design department and our customers.
CNC machining technology is used to ensure products of a consistent high quality are repeatedly produced.
Stock
We keep stock for all of the most popular wearing parts and have stores located in the USA and Europe.
Our supply of parts is backed up by experienced service engineers who can provide assistance with the press and process related problems as well as being available for site visits if required.
Rebuild Services
As well as supplyi ng individual parts we also provide a strip and rebuild service for shafts and cages. With this service we will repair or replace the cage or shaft parts before returning the rebuilt assembly to the customer. This service is increasingly being used by our customers especially in the rendering industries.
Of course we only use genuine Rosedowns parts for these rebuilds so the customer knows he can be assured of the quality of the rebuilt assembly.
At present we can offer this service in Europe, from our factory in Hull, England and in the USA from our service center in Kansas, which is run in association with Jenkins Centrifuge Rebuilders.
Our fitting/maintenance engineers are also available for site maintenance work if required and many customers are taking advantage of their expertise to keep their presses running efficiently.
